100% of the price you pay for your energy performance certificate is retained by the assessor who provides your EPC.
Your local assessor quotes your epc price and unlike the 'national call centres' and 'epc panels' we do not take any part of the cost of your epc. This ensures that you get the lowest price possible for your energy performance certificate by booking direct.
An Energy Performance Certificate or EPC for short is needed whenever a property is built, sold or rented. If you are selling or renting out your property you should order an EPC for potential buyers and tenants before you market your property. The energy performance certificate provided by our members is compliant with regulations for both rental or sale of your property.
The information on the EPC will help owners and occupiers make their property more energy efficient and allow potential buyers or tenants to compare the energy efficiency of different properties.
The EPC contains information about a property’s energy use and typical energy costs as well as recommendations about how to reduce energy use and save money.
An EPC gives a property an energy efficiency rating from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient) and it is currently valid for 10 years.
Use the menu above to select your propertry type then choose region and location to find The EPC Man for your area. Simply call direct to discuss the cost and make an appointment for the assessor to carry out the EPC survey which on an average domestic property will take around 30 to 40 minutes.
After the survey your Energy Performance Certificate will be produced and lodged onto the official EPC Register. A link to your certificate will then be sent by email to your agent or solicitor. You can also request this email if required.
Please remember that you should organise your EPC before you market your property for sale or rental.
All private rental properties must now achieve an energy efficiency rating of at least an E on the Energy Performance Certificate. If your property has an F or G Rating you may not be allowed to rent it out.
Please find your local member from the main menu above and call for advice on how to improve the epc rating.
